Two of the following three readings are on Electronic Reserve with the NAU Cline Library. Click on the hotlinked title below, or click on the Library link at the top of any page, then click on PL376 in the upper left under the words Course Readings.
The first reading will give you a quick, yet comprehensive, overview of the range of issues in sustainable tourism. The second reading will present New Zealand as a case study. This second reading was the principle source of information presented in the Echostar broadcast discussion of New Zealand. Additional reference sources are provided below. AFTER you complete these two textbook readings, continue on to the Web Activity:
These three Councils had information that was particularly suited to this assignments. Other regional councils, might also have similar information. Process and Expectations: I expect one or two paragraphs for questions 2, 3 and 4. You should type your answers in a word processor first. Spell and grammar check what you typed (I will deduct points for poor spelling and grammar). Then send your answer to me by either (1) cutting and pasting your text into an e-mail message, or (2) sending the file as an attachment. Please send attachments only in MSWord, WordPerfect or ASCII TEXT formats.
